Cesc Fabregas and his prank

I like the way cesc handles the jokes and enjoy himself with friends on celebrating the events. There is no issue about it,. and we all know he is such a great player. There’s always a joke about arsenal and barca with cesc, sometimes it can spice up the celebration. Spice up in positive way.

Football wins as Spain lifts World Cup

PARIS — Spain won the World Cup with the right kind of football. No one can argue that its tense 1-0 extra time victory over the Netherlands

wasn’t deserved.
Where some teams chose grim defense, Spain stuck to its attacking philosophy at this World Cup and, in the end, reaped the biggest reward there is. Where others hoofed balls up field and hoped, the Spanish passed, passed and passed until the goals came.
In becoming the first European nation to win the World Cup outside of Europe, Spain showed that beautiful football can be winning football, too. That positive example can only be good for the global game. Spain plays football in the way that young boys dream of when they kick balls around on pitches and streets.

It’s time for FIFA to enter the 21st century

From Johannesburg, South Africa — Well, isn’t that nice. The World Cup final on Sunday will be played with a special gold-colored ball in

honor of Johannesburg’s gold-mining history.

Good to see Joseph “Just Call Me Sepp” Blatter paying attention to all the important details. If FIFA didn’t take care of things such as this, where would the World Cup be?

So we will have Shakira singing her little heart out, or lip-synching, more likely. We will have a golden ball that will fly around like the beach ball it is. We will have all the vuvuzelas hell could swallow. And we’ll even have a referee. One from England, no less. Isn’t that nice?

I do not know Howard Webb. But I hope and trust that he gets every call correct when the Netherlands plays Spain for all the marbles in Soccer City.

Canada as World Cup host?

JOHANNESBURG — If South Africa can do it, why not Canada? And the party, prestige and pride that come along with being World Cup hosts would be something for our wonderful country.

No offence to the Olympic movement, but a month-long sporting event spread across our entire nation is taking it to the next level. But would Canada ever have a chance of playing host to such an event? And if we were afforded the opportunity, what kind of host would we be?

My gut reaction is yes and with flying colours. Sure, substantial investment would be needed. Greater soccer infrastructure is a must. But with FIFA holding Canada’s hand along the way, it would all come off as planned.

Premier League, with the Italian and European champions confident of securing him to new terms at San Siro.

The Holland playmaker will confront Spain in Sunday’s World Cup final level with David Villa as the tournament’s leading goalscorer with each having found the net five times. Sneijder’s performances both under José Mourinho at Inter last season – where he claimed the Coppa Italia, Serie A title and the European Cup – and in South Africa had prompted United to approach the Italian club regarding his potential availability.

final against Holland as even Dutch legend Johan Cruyff backed the European champions to triumph.
Del Bosque, whose team reached their first World Cup final thanks to a 1-0 semi-final win over three-time champions Germany, is wary of complacency having seen his side lose their opening group game in South Africa to Switzerland.
“Of course we must celebrate this victory (over Germany) but we will do so with moderation. We will not be blinded by success. We will enjoy this and then start preparing for the final,” stressed the former Real Madrid coach.

traditional German-ness had been done away with Carles Puyol’s bomber-like header over a quarter from the end was the perfect script for Germany to turn back the clock.
For once, at the World Cup, they couldn’t and with them, departed one of the most captivating ideas of this tournament.

Spain, with all their inventiveness and imagination, have deservedly set up footballs dream date with the technically-brilliant Dutch in Soccer City on Sunday.

Football deserves this most fitting of final battles, the aesthetes dream where finding of the angle to the goal will be a more satisfying and breathtaking experience than scoring itself.

On Wednesday, in Durbans Moses Mabhida Stadium, over 60, 000 were held enthralled by an exhibition of high-end football as Germany were forced off the rails with a super show of possession football by Spain in the second semifinal.
